So, I think I always just have liked talking about it and being open about it. SB: Yeah, I think you have to kind of lay your shit bare. SB: I read so many memoirs by women. I always have. Is that your hope when you put out a book like this, that this will give other women and girls the empowerment to speak more freely and write more freely about their own sexuality?

Which is not to say that I think that my book about sex necessarily goes very far in that. I want to make that super-clear. I feel like any time you see somebody that is unafraid or unapologetic And I think seeing other people do it first is incredibly helpful and useful. At least it was for me. SN: One of the things that I love about this book, and something that makes it so effective, is the humor. Do you find that humor is kind of your gateway drug to lure people in to talk about these difficult topics?

SB: Oh my God, this is so funny. So, I told him I would let him and any of my friends who read it early that the only deal was that they had to review it and review it honestly.

It was so funny. I have read it. SN: What are you most proud of in your life or career or both? SB: The one that I apply the most in my life is from my mom, which is that she taught me really early on that I was responsible for both my intent and my impact. I need to still be responsible for that. Our ego wants to let us hold on to that feeling of our intentions being good.
